Dog PPL, a members-only club that’s been described as the “SoHo House” for dogs and their owners, is set to open a new location just for our furry friends in Williamsburg, according to the Commercial Observer.
The new space will be an 18,000-square-foot dog park atop the Padel Haus club at 12 Berry Street. This is also not too far from McCarren Park, a public place that already offers a dog run anyone can go to — for free.
Dog PPL will lure guests in with DJ sets, cocktail nights, and a full kitchen, according to the Commercial Observer and subsequent reporting by Greenpointers. No word yet on when the space will open, but it’s been reported it could be as soon as summer 2025.
While it may tempting to dismiss the club as an “only in Brooklyn” shtick, Dog PPL was founded in 2021 by Alex Esguerra and Liam Underwood and already has am outpost in Santa Monica, California. While there hasn’t been any confirmation of what Dog PPL membership in Williamsburg will cost, the Santa Monica location offers a few different options, including a quarterly option that starts at $360 every three months for one dog, a yearly option that starts at $1,320, and a monthly membership for one that’ll run your pockets $120.

According to the Dog PPL website, after applying for membership the facilities will ensure, “all the applicants are up to date on their health records and pass a behavior assessment. We pride ourselves in having a best-in-class staff that’s trained in canine safety to help keep the play between dogs as safe as possible.”
Dog PPL’s website also says there are no breed restrictions saying, “All well-socialized and vaccinated dogs over 4 months of age are welcome.”
They also emphasize the need for both the dogs and humans to want to socialize so they don’t allow laptop use after 6 p.m.
“While we like the fact our members can get work done here, our most important priority is a safe environment for dogs and a space that fosters socialization,” the site says.
