Take the 7 (purple) train from Grand Central or Times Square to the Mets/Willets Point Station, about 30 minutes. You can also take a 16 minute LIRR train ride from Penn Station. You’ll always know when to get off the subway – just follow the other 40,000 fans to Citi Field!

About the New York Mets
The Mets were founded in 1962 to replace the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants, both of whom had recently left NY. The team’s colors evoke the blue of the Dodgers and the orange of the Giants. The Mets have qualified for the postseason nine times, winning the World Series in 1969 and 1986. Mets Hall of Famers include Joe Torre, Yogi Berra, Willie Mays, Tom Seaver and Mike Piazza. The MLB l retired Jackie Robinson’s number 42 on April 15, 1997, when the Mets played the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.
