April is a killer sports month in NYC! Baseball and FC seasons are kicking off, just as as basketball and hockey seasons are entering the Playoffs. The sports atmosphere in New York is exhilarating year round and some of the most intense competition is within our own rivalries.

Spamalot is one of my ALL TIME favorite Broadway Shows and it is hilarious! This revival of the 2005 TONY award winning Best Musical is sure to be a runaway hit and you do not need to know anything about Monty Python to see it. Lovingly lovingly ripped off from the film classic, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot has everything that makes a great knight at the theatre, from flying cows to killer rabbits, British royalty to French taunters, dancing girls, rubbery shrubbery, and of course, the lady of the lake. Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace at Rockefeller Center

Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace may returnat Rockefeller Center during the ice skating off-season, April-October. There is roller skating, musical acts, disco lights and a whole lot of fun all spring and summer at the Rink. Flipper’s is open seven days a week, 12pm-10pm, Sunday through Wednesday and until 12am Thursday through Saturday. Tickets required to skate.

Happy Anniversary to Hudson Yards! Hudson Yards is a new development and destination near Chelsea that runs from W 30-34th Streets and 10-12th Avenues. It offers Little Island, Edge, The Vessel, The Shops at Hudson Yards.
The Vessel (now closed to climbing) was an art-sculpture-park-excercise combination open to the public with 2,500 steps, 154 flights of stairs and wonderful NYC views.

Celebrate Earth Day in New York City
Earth Day, designed to celebrate and protect our planet, is celebrated across all 5 NYC Boroughs and there are lots of activities in which to take part. NYC Parks hosts dozens of activities in all our parks for Earth Day & Arbor Day. The Department of Transportation closes about 30 blocks of Broadway to cars.
